DENHAM SPRINGS — On January 31, 2015, Lezlie Fields opened up Lovilee ReDesign on the outskirts of downtown Denham Springs. Fields’ goal was to open a store that allowed people to share in her passion of design and innovation.

Fields’ new store offers home goods, antiques, furniture, gifts, and chalk paint. She cites her love of design as the motivation for opening her store and selecting the inventory she offers.

“I love to transform old furniture from boring to beautiful and connecting with others who share similar talents,” Fields said.

Fields was recently involved in building her own home and said the project just kept on going. She worked to decorate her own home with old and affordable furniture, as a necessity to save money, but wanted to find ways to spruce those pieces up.

“I’m the type of person who needs a creative outlet,” Fields said, “so redesigning furniture and creating beautiful accessories for the home allows me that opportunity.”

Lovilee ReDesign is located at 206 S. Range Avenue in Denham Springs. It is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information on the shop, you can call (225) 369-2928.

“I’m very excited to become part of such a warm, welcoming community, and hopefully I can bring something to the area that is fresh and new!” Fields exclaimed.
