The LSBDC at Southeastern Louisiana University provides assistance to entrepreneurs and small businesses to stimulate small business formation, growth, and development. Job creation and economic development are the Center’s major goals.

The Dixie Business Center is a nonprofit business incubator program dedicated to helping new and emerging businesses develop, grow and succeed.

SCORE provides professional guidance and information, accessible to all, to maximize the success of America’s existing and emerging small businesses. SCORE Baton Rouge is a nonprofit association providing free and confidential business counseling tailored to meet the needs of small business and their personal objectives. SCORE Baton Rouge also offers periodic seminars and workshops (for a modest fee to cover expenses) for both start-up entrepreneurs and in-business small business owners.

LEDC is committed to helping business thrive in Livingston Parish. The LEDC provides a variety of quality service designed to assist current and prospective businesses including: Site Location Assistance, Businesses Retention & Expansion, Business to Business Communication, Identification of Business Resources & Services, Location of Available Industrial Facilities, Small Business Assistance, and Entrepreneurial Assistance.

The mission of the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce is to support and facilitate economic impact by providing an environment that encourages business and community working together within our region.

Every location of the Livingston Parish Library has computers for public use with free Internet access. The library offers free Internet access via its Wi-Fi service. Patrons may bring their laptops or other mobile device to search the Internet using this service. The library offers the Microsoft Office suite, including vital business resources such as Excel and PowerPoint. All library locations offer copying and faxing services for your convenience.

Take advantage of free business consulting at the Main Branch of the Livingston Parish Library. Receive private, one-hour consulting sessions in areas including business plans, advertising plans, inventory control, financial projections, cost analysis, and much more. The Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana (MEPoL) professional manufacturing staff has years of experiences to assess your internal process and information flow. MEPoL serves as a one stop shop providing solutions for manufacturers. The role of MEPoL staff is to assure positive impact to your organization utilizing our skills as mentor, facilitator, matchmaker, and diagnostician. This process includes educating, encouraging, and empowering your organization to build an environment of excellence.

The CVB’s mission is to promote Livingston Parish as an attractive destination to all publics by aggressively marketing the area’s hospitality, facilities and attractions in order to create a positive economic impact on Livingston Parish and enhance the area’s quality of life.

The Procurement Technical Assistance Center was established to generate employment and improve the general economy of Louisiana by assisting business firms in obtaining and performing under the U.S. Department of Defense, other federal agencies, state and local government contracts.
