Southeastern’s mission is to lead the educational, economic and cultural development of southeast Louisiana. We are the state’s third-largest public university, boasting more than 15,600 students and more than 60 degree programs. But with a small-town location, personal attention to students and a close-knit community of engaged learners, we feel like a small college. We are passionate about our students, providing them with a challenging college experience that empowers them with a lifelong education.

Northshore Technical Community College

(985) 543-4120

Northshore and Southeastern have a program-Connect to Succss. Students that are not qualified due to low ACT scores can take classes at Northshore and transfer to Southeastern later. This program, hopefully, will be coming to Livingston soon in addition to a new Technical college addition that Randy has been working on. Although they are not here yet, you may want to consider placing them as a resource because they do service this area. Currently, many of Kim Albin’s classes are dual enrollment with Northshore. In other words, they are taking Northshore classes and gaining Northshore credits while taking high school classes at the Literacy and Technology Center.

Northshore works closely with Southeastern to provide transfer services to students, helping them successfully navigate the process of moving toward a baccalaureate degree. We offer open admissions and up to 60 credit hours of transferable college-level coursework as well as developmental education courses in Math and English.
